Intro
Welcome. In this blog, many topics regarding things like current events, history, the mind and more will be discussed. Too much ignorance proliferates nowadays. If every idiot can just yell lies into the internet, then maybe my injections of reality, reason and truth will help remedy it. Or at the very least, I hope that some of the other slightly sane individuals will read this and connect with it.
Many posts will take a familiar form; the label "essay" exists for the more arduous and traditionally styled articles.
From time to time, I will take and answer questions. Send any in; if I have the time and capacity to answer it in the form of an article, I will do so. Send any questions you may have to ManOfJackistan@gmail.com, putting "QUESTION TO ASK" as the subject. Those will have the tag "q&a."
All subjective-style articles--'my take,' 'rant,' and some 'q&a'--will also have the tag "opinion."
Some opinion articles may take the form of essentially an informal article, "rant" being the tag. In these I talk about whatever it may be. Even shorter, blurb-like ones I will indicate as "my take." Their composition will vary from that of the regular articles. They have a higher liability of it including subjective elements.
Similarly, on occasion, I will also answer questions or write articles by throwing my personal experience into the mix (always labelled as editorials). Of course any and every article in the world written by humans will lack absolute objectivity and have some level of bias. While I will attempt to steer clear of overt and unwarranted biases, that will not stop me from expressing what is perceptibly real.
Too much "both sideism" exists today: just because two opposing arguments exist, that does not mean that each side has equal legitimacy and veracity. And yet so much of the modern media embraces this approach, fearful that the right-wing Fox News viewers will call them out for being the "liberal media," even though those viewers will call anything that does not endorse Donald Trump as inherently left-leaning. That viewpoint I reject wholeheartedly and with reason, a subject which surely will be explored in future articles, along with many, many other things. Definitely keep checking out The Man Of Jackistan!
